This week on Dragon’s Demize we will be talking about Board Games! First we talk about the games we’ve had a chance to play and what we liked and didn’t like. Then we review Pandemic, one of the best mid to entry level co-op games out there. We discuss the good aspects and the bad aspects of the game and give it our final rating, a 7/10. We conclude our podcast talking about our plans of Origins! We will be there and we would love to meet our listeners! Tweet at us and we will try to meet up!
As always thank you to Agata Poniatowski for the logo and other graphic design and thank you to Strangelette for the music!
This week on the Dragon’s Demize we are changing our format from a bi-weekly to a weekly format. Every We will be alternating between board game reviews and Dungeons and Dragons discussions on a bi-weekly basis so that we can spend more time going in depth into our reviews and our GMing tips. This week will be the first exclusively D&D focused podcast and we will be discussing how our stories have been developing, including some flashbacks to stories past. We have finally decided on a good name for this section, from now on it will be called “To Be Continued…” Then we will go into GMing 101 where we will discuss what to expect when you first sit down at the table to run your story. Finally we discuss our plans for the website how it can help you become a better GM. We will be creating Pages that compile different tips from all over the internet and we will be continuing to keep our pages up to date with the latest tips and best GMing resources that we can find.
We hope that you enjoy this weeks podcast and our new format. Here are the time stamps of the different sections of this weeks podcast:
To Be Continued: 00:48.
GMing 101: 29:20.
DMing Tools: 49:33.
Thank you for tuning in and we will see you next week!
As always a huge thank you to Agata Poniatowski for the Logo and Strangelette for the intro music and outro sound effects!
This week we have a very special episode of Dragon’s Demize. Mikkel Mainz of Sun Creature Studios joins us to talk about “The Reward” “Tales of Alethrion: The First Hero” and the current kickstarter that is up to continue the series. We had such a great time talking to him starting with his stories of D&D which was a heavy inspiration for the original short film “The Reward.” Mikkel also talked to us about how Sun Creature Studios grew out of an idea during college into a real company which already produced the amazing sequel “Tales of Alethrion: The First Hero.” We get to hear about the one hour animation battles between Mikkel and Kenneth done during their off periods as well as some of the rough spots that they had gone through in the creation of the films. We also get a peek at how the RPG system set in the world of Alethrion will work and the really cool plans they have to go along with it.
We really hope you enjoy listening to this episode and will think about backing the kickstarter which ends on Friday, May 22, 2015. The links to the Kickstarter and the short films are below.
To skip the intro and go right to Table Tribulations go to 1:21
To skip to the main interview with Mikkel go to 34:15
As always thank you to Agata Poniatowski for the Logo and thank you to Strangelette for the intro and outro music!
Also Special thanks to Thibaud Petitpas for the sleeping dragon drawing!
As promised here is a picture of Carcassonne with the farms outlined for your convenience. We will be posting more about this in the future as well.
As you can see, the blue farm has 2 blue meeples and 1 green meeple. This means that blue has claimed the farm. The blue player gets 21 points for this farm because it touches 7 different cities. There is a small red farm in the bottom right hand corner as well which is worth 3 points. The big grey farm with the blue and the green meeples on it gives both players points but there are no completed cities there so it is worth 0 points.
Thank you for joining us for the third episode of the Dragon’s Demize Podcast! On today’s episode we have some great stories from our campaigns over the past few weeks; In GMing 101 we discuss how to prepare for your first sessions and what we think you should have ready when you start; We then discuss the short films “The Reward” and “Tales of Alethrion: First Hero” as well as their Kickstarter; Things we’ve played recently; And our review of Carcassonne.
We hope you enjoy our podcast. Let us know what you think on twitter, facebook, google+, or at DragonsDemize@gmail.com.
